A tale about my incredible journey in Lithuania 5

Chapter 4: Lithuania, a vast country

It is a truth universally acknowledged, that the weather in Lithuania is very changing. Lithuanian’s climate is characterized by seasonal weather changes. Long and warm autumn, then nippy and very cold winter, sunny spring and finally hot summer. Because Ambre lived in Lithuania for one year, she was able to enjoy the country in its different aspect: green in summer and completely white in winter.

Lithuania is commonly called the land of lakes and rivers. About one third of land area is occupied by forest. The Lithuanian landscape are beautiful in every season. So Ambre and her friends decided to explore more the country “the geographical center of Europe”. That’s why they went to Trakai, to Kaunas and to Klaipėda.

Trakai is known for its Medieval peninsular castle. It’s a small bucolic and touristic town. In the summer Ambre and her friends rented a boat to explore the lack. In winter they walked on the same frozen lake.
