A typical day in Zwickau
Generally, my courses start at 10h20 and it’s not early at all. In this case, I have the time to go in the library before, to print some homework, and to prepare my lunch. Even if the courses start late, the time for eating is quite short (about thirty minutes).
My student apartment is close to the tram station, just 3 minutes, and I have only 10 minutes of tram to be in the campus. This first things have totally changed my life because I did about 3 hours of transports per day to be at my University in France. It was hard and that have totally killed my student life.
The campus is big and, the first week, it was complicated to found all my courses rooms. I haven’t got big lectures with all the promotion. At the University of Zwickau, we are mostly a group of ten of fifteen people. It’s comfortable because we are free to ask any question and we have a lot of discussion and it’s nice if you want to improve your English quickly
I often finish my courses at 16h50, and after I go to the library or see my Tandem. The Tandem is a nice project which is directed by the University. The objective is to create a tandem between an Erasmus student and a German student who learn another language. For example, my Tandem is a girl who study French and who will realize an Erasmus in France. I see her one or two times per weeks, and we help each other in German and French.
After the tandem program, or the courses, I directly go to the library. It's a big and modern place where is nice to work in comparison of our little student room.
Then, at the end of the day, I can have sport or I go with my friends to the “Null” a sort of student bar/living room for every student in my building. It’s a good place if we want to see each other in a comfortable and cheap area.
