Sweden and the city of Borås

Sweden and the city of Borås

Hej,

Today, I am going to talk a little more about Sweden and the city of Borås.

SWEDEN

First, I am going to present Sweden. It is a country of Northern Europe, and it is one of the largest countries of the continent. In 2017, there were 10 million inhabitants for 500 000 km². Its capital is Stockholm and its currency is the Swedish krona (SEK). On average, 1€ = 10SEK. The national motto is För Sverige I tiden (Forever for Sweden) and the national anthem is the Du gamla, du fria. The 6 of June is Sweden's National Day since 1983. Sweden is a Constitutional Monarchy with Carl XVI Gustaf as a king.

BORAS

Now, I am going to present the town of Borås. It's a medium-sized city located in the south-west of Sweden, in the county of Västra Götaland. It is located at around 60 km east from Göteborg, the second biggest city of the country. The nearest airport is by the way in Göteborg. Borås has the reputation to be the rainiest city in the all Sweden. But I didn't have the impression that it was as rainy as that. The climate seems to me similar to the French one, except that it was a bit colder. In early September, I had already released my winter jacket. To conclude, I really enjoy leaving there. It is a quiet and peaceful city where life is very pleasant.

In the next article, I will talk about the University of Borås.

Tack och vi his snart !
