How to handle accomodation

There are many ways to find accomodation near the University.

First, from the first contact with it, a proposal was made to me to know if I wanted to live in student housing. I took it, glad I did. It should be known that these rooms are grouped in 4 main buildings, welcoming mostly Erasmus and Czech students.

Choosing a student accommodation offers you the guarantee of a housing already set up, in the middle of student life, and at a lower cost. The room is obligatorily a house-share. An aspect that may seem embarrassing at first but that turns out to be an asset. Indeed, sharing my room for nearly 6 months with a Turkish student, helped me greatly to improve my current English. Finally, it is possible to take a room alone, but by paying more.

The cost of the room of 25m ² with bathroom, kitchen and balcony is 230 €, which is a derisory price regarding to the French standards. In addition, at the slightest malfunction, the University takes care of repairs for free.

Here are some pictures to have an idea of it

The accommodations are located in the middle of the campus, 10 minutes from the city center, and 2 minutes from a LIDL supermarket.

Taking an apartment in the city center can be tempting but it can take away from student life.
