Tips about living in Pardubice

You should know for those who wish to come to Pardubice that the size of the city can divert more than one. The change can be brutal for some. However, this brings many benefits. Indeed, the number of Erasmus is limited (about 200), so that everyone knows each other. The exchanges and interactions between students are more numerous, more intimate.

The city has (very) numerous hypermarkets Albert, Tesco, Globus or Kaufland. They usually offer balances and are very large

Also if you want to invite friends or family on the spot, you can rent a room at the Accommodation Office for only € 10 per night for a room.

For those who are into restaurants, the one located on the main square of the city, Potrefená Husa, will allow you to eat Czech food of very good quality.

Finally, the student bar Achko is the center of meetings and life for Erasmus students. The beer is affordable. I advise you to go there, to meet new people and exchange.

The rooms made available by the University are the best solution. It is close to the University, the accommodations are pleasant, and you are also in the heart of student life.

Go see an ice hockey game, it's a little known sport in France, very spectacular, and the local team is good so give it a try!

Travel with Régiojet, it's cheaper, it's better, what more?

Try all the local beers, they are (very ... too ?) many but they show the knowledges of this country. Have you ever wanted to taste a chocolate beer? You can try it there. Obviously alcohol abuse is dangerous for your health!

Never convert your money in the airport or station, prices are very low. Do not ever accept to exchange your euros in the street, they are usually fake coins.
